„We were really looking forward to getting out on the road again this November and December but unfortunately due to the ongoing uncertainty as to when it will be safe for people to gather in large groups again, we have had to reschedule these dates to April and May next year. We will have an album’s worth of new songs to play at these shows, the new LP Endless Arcade will be released well ahead of these dates.“
In addition to the tour, the band are extra pleased to announce there will be a new record to go along with it. The tour dates will follow the release of the new album “Endless Arcade”. Out in October this year, it will be their first since 2016’s “Here”. More detail about the new album will be revealed in the coming months.
“The five of us headed to Clouds Hill Recordings in Hamburg in late November last year and got stuck into doing what we like best – recording new songs. It felt good to start 2020 with 13 new tunes in the bag. We’re currently busy assembling a selection of those into album form and putting the final gloss on the record”.
Over the course of 30 years in which Teenage Fanclub released A Catholic Education, Bandwagonesque, Thirteen, Grand Prix, Songs From Northern Britain, Howdy!, Man Made, Shadows & Here – Teenage Fanclub went from being scrappy indie underdogs, through band-most-likely-to, eventually arriving at the status they’ve held ever since: one of Britain’s most beloved cult bands.
Not liked, or admired, or respected: beloved.
“That first decade was the ascent”, so die Band selbst.
“There’s something amazing about setting out on a journey when you don’t know what’s around the corner.”
Der Vorverkauf startet am 09.03.20 um 10:00 Uhr
