Days of August, the Norwegian indie-folk group that creates an atmosphere of rich, longing melodies and nostalgic, heartfelt lyrics. Founded in the summer of 2018 in Rogaland, the band started off their journey by releasing their EP ‘After Twelve’, gaining them some attention in the world, as well as radio placements. By early 2019, the debut album ‘Staring Empty at the Moon’ was released into the world. The albums beautiful melancholic dark vibe made for further attention, and songs like ‘North Sea’ and ‘Nine Winters Ago’ got sync placements.
In 2020 the bands second EP ‘Into the Valley’ made headlines. Songs like ‘Homeplace’, ‘Young Rivers’ and ‘Time Will Tell the Tale’ made their way to large spotify playlists, as well as becoming this months artist on NRK P3 Urørt. Later the same year they released their third EP ‘Going Where We Belong’. The past three years the band have been working on their new album “Postcards”, releasing September 15th 2023. With this album, the Days of August sound has been expanded with strings, horns, and electronic elements. Now, with already gaining huge attention from the singles released before the album, Days of August are ready to embark new stages and reach new fans all over the world.

Von Mai bis September 2025 verwandelt sich der Lattenplatz vor dem Knust Hamburg jeden Donnerstag in die Heimat für Indie-Fans! Indievercity präsentiert wöchentlich handverlesene Acts aus den Genres Singer/Songwriter, Pop und Folk – von aufstrebenden Newcomerinnen bis hin zu etablierten nationalen und internationalen Künstlerinnen. Hier schlägt das Indie-Herz höher, unter freiem Himmel und in bester Atmosphäre. Wie früher bleibt der Eintritt frei – bezahlt wird auf Spendenbasis: Jede*r gibt, was möglich ist. Und das „Next Big Thing“ läuft dir hier vielleicht auf kleiner Bühne über den Weg. Ein Abend voller Musik, Leidenschaft und Gemeinschaft erwartet euch – kommt vorbei und feiert mit uns den Indie-Sommer!
