Sidewalks and Skeletons is the solo project of UK artist Jake Lee, a pioneer of the witch house scene. Growing up in Bradford, UK, Jake played in various bands as a guitarist before immersing himself in dark electronic production, crafting music alone in his room starting in 2006. By 2011, Sidewalks and Skeletons became his main creative focus, blending ethereal soundscapes with heavy, immersive beats.
The name Sidewalks and Skeletons is a metaphor for what remains after death — “The earth you walked, and your bones – they are all that are left behind.” This theme of haunting beauty and transcendence echoes through his music. His last album, EXORCISM, released on 2/2/22, featuring the hit single „Eternal Rest“, amassing over 8.6 million streams. Simultaneously, his breakout track „Goth“ continues to soar, surpassing 178 million streams and 2.1 billion views on Tik Tok, cementing itself as a genre-defining anthem. His 2024 U.S. headline tour saw multiple sold-out shows, and his 2025 EU & U.S. tour is already in the works. His work has been featured across multiple forms of media, including the acclaimed Devolver Digital video game RUINER, films like King Knight and M.F.A., and TV series such as The Nexus.
Over the years, S&S has collaborated and shared the stage with artists like HEALTH, Brothel, ✝✝✝ (Crosses), CASHFORGOLD, and more. With a dedicated global fanbase and an ever-evolving sound, Sidewalks and Skeletons is just getting started. You won’t want to miss what comes next.
