Indigo Waves Announces New Album „Mirror“ and Upcoming 2025 Tour Dates
Salt Lake City, Utah — Indie rock band Indigo Waves has announced the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, Mirror, set to drop in early 2025. Known for their dreamy lo-fi atmospheres and pulsing, vibrant rhythms, Indigo Waves has attracted a global following with a unique blend of dream pop and ’80s-inspired new wave, currently drawing over 230,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Mirror marks an exciting evolution from the chill, bedroom pop vibes of their debut album to a high-energy, nostalgia-filled journey inspired by the spirited sounds of ’80s new wave. The album is a dynamic fusion of synth-rich soundscapes and jangly guitar, recorded in the band’s Salt Lake City basement studio. Featuring 13 brand-new tracks, Mirror invites fans to experience an invigorating new side of Indigo Waves, one that will be showcased live during their upcoming European tour.
“Matt and I both became fathers during the creation of this album,” shares lead vocalist Austin Oestreich. “Reflecting on our own youth, we wanted to create music that celebrates life’s energy and joy, something our kids can look to and feel that the world is an amazing place if you know where to look. Mirror is all about that kind of reflection—choosing what you want to see in yourself and the world around you. We wanted to move away from the melancholy vibe and instead, create something that radiates optimism, something people can dance to and truly enjoy.”
Indigo Waves will kick off their European tour in April 2025, with stops in major cities including Paris, Berlin, and Copenhagen. Tickets will be available starting November 15, 2024, through the band’s official website and authorized ticket outlets.
