GEVENDE of Psychedelic, Progressive, Folk and Rock, deeply inspired by the sounds of Anatolia. A true “Music from Neverland.”

Founded in 2000 in Eskişehir and later relocating to Istanbul in 2006, the band has always embraced musical exploration. Their lyrics are written in a language of their own creation, belongs to nowhere, and each album takes listeners on a genre-defying journey.

After recording their debut album Ev, they embarked on an extraordinary 1.5 month overland journey from Istanbul to Nepal—traveling by road, train, and playing with local musicians along the way.; Iran, Pakistan, India… Since then, they have performed at major festivals such as Mimi, Popkomm, Babel Med, and Womex etc… and toured across a wide geography, from Brazil to the Arctic Circle, Greece to India…

Following a hiatus in 2018, Gevende is back in 2024—returning to the stage and releasing new music.
