The Diarfest Artists Collective with Balout Krew, Coma and Ebn 7oari are getting together to light up the karoviertel on Oriental Elektro music and Beats. As if we were on a summer street party in the Middle East.
DIARFEST:
“Diar” is arabic for Home. Diarfest (aka. Diarclub) is an Culture Project based in Hamburg, co-founded by Hanadi Chawaf and Osama Horani, working on arab style concerts and events, focusing on visual concepts alongside collective memory.
BALOUT KREW:
Once upon a time a Palestinian met a Bavarian at a party and discovered they share the same taste in music. This taste covers countless genres, instruments and time periods, but is unified by a fascination with Arab rhythms and the mijwiz, an Arab flute. Our sets balance our musical histories and the one sound we want to hear on the dance floor. We take the dance floor on a journey – from the Alps to a Berlin techno rave to a single man playing a concert in the Tunisian Sahara. We’re about destroying boundaries and accepting pluralism. But this is not something that any one person can do, so we ask all of you to join our crew of dancers so we can combine all our efforts and spirit to have an unbelievable party.
COMA:
Coma is a Dresden based band consisting of three musicians: Yara, Tarek and Stefan. Coma is a state of mind and a journey for the soul, all the tracks are composed, arranged, produced and mixed by the bandmembers. Holding the same values and ideas, the musicians share valuable moments of their lives and translate them into a nostalgic and melancholic atmosphere. In addition to the collaborative work, each member has their own imprint. Yara’s violin and lyrical abilities, Tarek’s vocals and oud melodies and Stefan’s guitar harmonies and bass lines are the spirit of Coma.
