DJ Ipek
Based in Berlin DJ, producer, curator, queer-activist, Ipek is regarded as one of the most popular and diverse DJs of the Berlin club scenes. Inspired by her passion for music from Anatolia & the Middle East and for genre-hopping dance, her „EthnikFolkElektronikMix “sets provide surprising breaks to the steady course of club music today. Psychedelic Turkish funk meets Disco, Balkan to Minimal, AnatolianFolk to Deep House, Dabke to Electro, Kurdish Gowend to Moombahton, from Armenian and Turkish Halay to Techno.
Ipek’s „MidEast’Elektro-TechnOrient’’ sets create an extraordinary warm, dynamic interpretation of electronic music from deep house to Berlin Techno melted with the melodramatic sound of Anatolia, and Mesopotamia. Ipek has been pushing boundaries within the ethnic and electronic music scene for more than two decades. Ipek’s sound is free of conventions, and it refuses to be limited by style, tempo or genres.
In 2024 DJ Ipek is choosen as one of the 100 most important minds in Berlin culture by the Newspaper Tagesspiegel. And again in 2024 Ipek ipekcioglu has been honored for she/theys as an activism and Lifetime Achievement within the queer-immigrant-community with the “Soul of Stonewall-Award”.
The Berliner Label Katermukke released her track “Uyan Uyan, Wake up “, which was for several months the most successful track at Beatport. She released Bir cift Turna and Gelme Bana at Epic Istanbul/Sony Music. Ipeks remix Selda Bagcan’s “Gesi Baglari” was released at Majör Müzik. The Canadian Souq Records released her Techno track “Dame Sobh feat. Hany Mojtahedy”.
Aladin/ Balout Krew
Aladin presents an emotionally and musically powerful set — a unique blend of his own electronic productions, rare CDs, and hand-painted cassette tapes from his uncles in Palestine. Come and feel it with him.
RĀN
Artist and architect RĀN, originally from Egypt and now based in Cologne, has recently taken up DJing to connect with her lifelong passion for music. Over the past two years, she has performed at numerous well-known bars and clubs in Germany. Her organic melodic soundscape, which reflects her roots and personality, blends house and techno with a rich fusion of oriental, afro, funk, and SWANA influences.

Our city is vibrant, diverse, and full of life – and that’s exactly what we’re celebrating!
DIARFEST is a festival for everyone who loves Hamburg for what it truly is: colorful, open, and full of stories. At a time when diversity is too often questioned, we stand together to send a clear message – for unity, respect, and the beauty of our differences.
Let’s show that diversity is not a problem, but our greatest strength. Let’s celebrate our #Stadtbild together – loudly, joyfully, and full of color.
