One of Denmark’s greatest rock bands will be back after a few years break. Nephew is excited to announce that they will visit Oslo, London, Malmo, Flensburg, Hamburg and Faroe Islands in June 2018. Fans can expect fantastic concerts added the extraordinaire energy that has made the band one of the most popular throughout the years. The shows will mark Nephew’s first appearance on the live scene since 2014.
Simon Kvamm, the lead singer of the band, states that the band has reunited because ‘we couldn’t help it’. He continues: “Nephew is like a family, both internally and in relation to our audience. We have all been apart and experienced new things, but now we miss each other and we’re looking forward to create a party with the family again”
The band, formed in 1996 in Aarhus, had their breakthrough in 2004 with the release of their second album USADSB. Since then, they have sold over half a million albums and won a ton of awards.
Nephew, who has achieved star status in Denmark, will play powerful, hit-packed shows, but there will also be room for new music. The band is right now in the studio working on new material. Guitarist Kristian Riis says:
“At the moment, we just meet and play together, and there’s a pretty wild musical energy going on. We want to do what we have always been doing – play melancholic electro rock well suited to singalong.”
